We added almost 200k jobs which is 50k above what’s needed to keep up with population growth. This is for September when folks end their summer jobs to go back to school. It wasn’t “terrible” but it was below expectations. It’ll probably end up being revised upward when the final numbers are tallied.
No, we didn't add any jobs. Shutdown jobs just came back.
Keep up with population growth? 11 million job openings and 39% of the population isn't participating in the workforce. At 4.8 unemployment and nearly half the country isn't working. |
