Subject: RE: Master Switch-InSight-Raven On/Off valve

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
It sounds as if your problem connection is the implement switch at the Liquid module.

This connection can be used in a variety of ways. For example on an NH3 bar it could (and probably should) be connected to an implement switch to prevent product flow when the bar is in the UP position.

As another example, we have a customer who uses his Insight with his corn planter and in that application, a switch on the planter is connected to this Implement Switch connector. When the planter is raised or lowered, the application starts/stops without the operator needing to cycle a switch on the ends.

Later he uses this same tractor with a 3 point sprayer. In that scenario, the jumper is installed and the operator or Auto Swath control starts/stops the sprayer. Without the jumper, the sprayer ON/OFF valves would not turn on.

For product flow to occur, either a jumper must be installed or a switch that completes the loop.

The switch at this location is not meant to be a substitue for a regular ON/OFF switch in the system. The AIM module needs at least a Master switch (and often boom switches) to operate properly.
