Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | I've never had one but my mother has had a long history with kidney stones. Back in the late 1960s doctors at Methodist Hospital in Memphis almost cut her in half to get to one of her kidneys to remove a stone. She brought it home in a little bottle. Looked a lot like a cucklebur. Hers were calcium deposits. I've known other, both men and women, who have had them. Women who have been through both say it's more painful than having a baby. I'll take their word for it. Get a proper diagnosis. Unresolved, it could lead to something much worse. Nowadays they can blast them with a laser or do other things to get rid of them. |
