I replaced an extended cab 4WD F250 diesel with a crew cab 4WD F350 diesel and thought the longer wheelbase crew cab rode better. I'd agree with the comment that it depends on setup. If they're spec'ed the same otherwise (trim package, wheels, etc.) the 350 does have more weight capacity via the spring pack but they're all using progressive rate springs now so the "initial" ride quality unloaded shouldn't be a huge difference between those trucks.

Example - A 4WD F350 XLT w/17" wheels will ride better than a 4WD F250 FX4 w/20" wheels.

Not much help on the Chevy/GMC side though.
