We are short on help, and spread out a ways. When we went from a 1000 gallon pull type to 800 with the rogator we did miss the capacity...but still get more done than with a pull type. Will be roading it loaded, if the wheel motors are the same on each then maybe the smaller tank on a 4730 would be a little easier on things. Do you know if the 4830 is just a turned up 6.8L or is it something bigger?
4830 is still 6.8. Biggest issue with most 4830 in my search for a sprayer is most came standard with 100ft boom which is not one of JD's strong points when they designed it. I get where you are coming from. I'm reluctant to go to an 800 gal SP after having a 1200 gal pull type.
I agree with the booms. Buy one with booms that are beat to hell so the price reflects the poor shape of the booms and put aluminum booms on with your choice of width.
