SC Sask | This is just floating an idea out there. The federal government is already set up to pay for a tuition through service to the military using the GI bill. I know that this would create much nashing of teeth, but if the government has to bail out the deadbeats who don't pay off student debt why not just enrol them in military service?, They get to experience a reverse GI bill, Uncle Sam gets his pound of flesh on the back end of the equation instead of up front.
And yes before everyone dumps all over this idea, i know that you would be dealing with people who are much older then those who would voluntarily enter the service. But then again, if little johhny signs up for a full ride student loan taking basket weaving or some other sh** degree where there is NO chance they can make money off of it. If he signs up wouldn't he think twice if the second page of the student loan application asked him which military service would be his first second and third choice? | |
