South Georgia | You are spot on with the amusement parks comment. Those projects and the fee increases were always presented to the student body by the student government for an up or down vote, but in my experiences a very small percentage of the students on campus were active participants in student government. Typically the fees being considered wouldn’t start being assessed for a year or two, so students were voting on projects and fees that they would not have to pay for. Another particularly wasteful trend I noticed while in college was campus landscaping. Very convenient parking lots on campus were continually being ripped up and replaced with magnificent gardens that require continuous extensive maintenance to prune, spray, mulch, ect. Very frustrating. | |
