I was going to ask the question the other day
How much water it takes to raise a bushel of corn
The first bushels would take more just to get the vegetation state done
I was thinking may be 1 in per 10 bushel
So 200 would take 20 inches
That is figuring if every drop got converted to grain
So here Im hopeful it will get big enough to make feed (5ft) but if we miss tonight really going to suck.

We can raise 200+ corn on timber soils(very low water holding capacity) in right conditions on 10ā€-12ā€ of water. If I could choose my rain by month Iā€™d take 1-2 in may 3 in June 3 in July and 3 in August. All would keep us pretty on the dry side but water early seems to hurt us worse most years than not enough.
