We are 20 degrees above normal temps, don't have 4 feet of black soil, maybe a foot. Gotten 4.5 inches of rain total and only had a foot of snow. No other area has had as much rain as mine. We are the white spot on the drought map of SD. At 100 degrees the moisture we received won't be enough to last us 3 weeks. We need timely rains on a normal year to get a good crop. It is a different world in the Dakota's than the other corn states.
