Rosemont ON | I don’t know, hope you have better luck drilling into hay stubble then we do. I have tried into hay fields that have been sprayed off before being cut, hay fields sprayed after being cut, bean stubble, bean stubble that was cover cropped with rye and just cultivated and rye left to grow with the sorghum/Sudan, and have only had bad stands. It could be a here thing and others may have had better luck but sorghum/Sudan does not like any sort of competition or stress when it’s first getting started. Now it does make a good cover crop we have found and gets along real good with red clover and makes awesome feed.
