whitesville new york | Every area is special in it's own way. We grow our best corn on a droughty year, sorghum sudan grass does ok. On a wet year, corn struggles, sorghum sudan grass does well for us. Best thing to do is cut if it gets stunted from what i've seen. The wet spots seem to come back stronger after getting cut than the rest of the field, they typically get stunted. I've also learned sulfer helps all plants use N better. Most say it will yield similar to corn, i haven't been that lucky yet. so we better feed it like corn to get it yeild in my opinion.
