You need to feed it, have been doing 300 lbs 19-19-19, 380 lbs 15-15-15 7s this year
I planted a bunch this year on land I never planted sorghum sudan. Also dusted it in very very dry conditions then got over 18 inches of rain the last 3 weeks.
Question I have is will stunted Sudan recover from being to wet?
Also I am finding out just how much stronger the original ground I planted it on is compaired to other ground. I had previously just put down nitrogen but finding in these other fields p+k probably would have been smart. Any way to put down p+k after first cutting? Next year I will be discing in my fertilizer (didn't this year becuase I wasn't sure I would ever get a rain to get it up) I sprayed 32% after it came up.
Also learning sorghum sudan likes the ground worked deep and also learned it does not like competition as someone else mentioned. Everywhere I chisled down 18 inches you can tell. |
