Ontario | This post was started by saying how wonderful monsanto is, and taunting anyone who has a disagreement with monsanto's practises as "haters". Meanwhile the same publication he quoted saying wonderful monsanto; just a year earlier is telling you to invest your money in monsanto! (Nothing smells funny here?)
So I put questions & statements in rebuttal, and the only response I get back is "bitching", "moaning" etc. The questions do not get answered! So what does that tell me?
It means they have no compelling argument which to make. Saying "bitch" or "bitching" is a great sign of weakness, and stands out like a sore thumb when the questions don't get answered.
To reply to your other points:
So, if I have been wronged by monsanto, should I stay silent, and not tell others my experience, for others to consider? And why can’t I talk about it? Is knowing what is happeing to fellow farmers still a way to learn from this website?
I do save seed. Non-GMO seed from varieties that are allowed to be saved; and have nothing to do with monsanto. But if monsanto GMO’s contaminate my field I cannot go after them if I sign the monsanto TSA! (So for me, would that not be a dumb thing to do?)
One farmer was truthful, he felt it made him a better farmer. I have done very well without monsanto products in 2009. But the problem is, going to another company does not mean you get away from monsanto and their agreements. (They have a rather long arm now!) It’s not as easy as you think!
I agree with you the posts are getting long, but why be afraid to debate the wonderfulness of monsanto? I'd rather think that it serves as a warning and something for everyone to consider. At least to think about as time goes by?
MY MISSION ALL ALONG IS TO CONSIDER OPTIONS AND TRY TO SUPPORT OTHER EMERGING COMPANIES, BEFORE THE COMPETITION GETS SNUFFED.
If I am wrong what harm is done? But if I am right what are the long-term scenarios of having monsanto as the dominant force in agriculture?
By the way, I went for my physical; two weeks ago... blood pressure is excellent!
Hope this helps, hope you have a good farm year in 2010!
