EC MN - Hour North of 'The Cities'
Would you recommend to put on N in the fall on a coarse loamy soil where the Nitrogen BMP says NO (BMP for us is spring-pre with sidedress)?

Not every place in the US is able to hold N from fall app through the next crop year, and our soils show sidedressing as a profitable way to use N. I can go 10 miles to the south of me where 28% is heavily used on 'blow-sand' (some times 2 trips of N in season), or go to the north of me 10 miles where heavier clays might have the potential to hold N, but it is poorly drained (just like everything else around my area) and N ain't free around here.
