central ILL
For greasing the upper sheave there is a decal right on the side of the drive cover showing when and where to grease. Don’t know what you mean by leaving plug out of separator drive and running and cycling it. It’s a 400 hr zerk and the other zerk is 50 hours. All machines will harvest corn and beans. I’ve just always liked the simplicity of the Deere. Easy to set. Been told that guys that own 7230s have to clean their air filter every day sometimes twice a day in beans. They complain they can only run 3.5-4 with 35 ft head and can’t believe I can run 5 or better. I haven’t ran the newer ones so I can’t fairly say who’s brand is better. But when I switched to Deere 15 years ago everything was built a lot heavier and if I needed a part 99% of the time they had it. When I had my IH I’d have to run all over to get parts if they had them. They all get the job done it’s whatever a guy prefers. I guess that’s what makes the world go round.
