7088 is a vast upgrade from a 2188, but... I kinda concur.  Regarding hydraulics, 2700 separator hours on our flagship and this season was the first time I had to fix a hydraulic leak, which was a short 1/4" flex hose at the feeder pivot.   All of those big lines you see on the side when you open the shields are bulletproof as an Abrams tank.
