Ohio | I have had chronic kidney stones for 14 years. The last time I had someone count I they found that I have had about 160 procedures in that time. No that's not a typo. I've been put to sleep for every one. You'll know if you pass it because the pain will go away and more than likely you'll feel it exit. Go get the xray. See if they will do a KUB xray instead of a CT. KUB's are done on a flat table and they show the kidney's, ureter and bladder, hence the name KUB. I've learned a thing or two in my adventures. The KUB doesn't always show the stone because your ribs can get in the way but it's a lot cheaper and a lot less radiation.
