| A lot of concrete outside. Will need area to store empty pallets and seed totes out of the way once they are used. Will want to be able to have decent sized concrete area to load customer trucks/trailers onto rear or sides. Nice to have space to have two vehicles loaded at one time. Can be loading one while another is backing in or straping down a load.
Loading dock that could both unload delivery trucks and perhaps serve as raised platform to load seed tenders with forklift so not lifting boxes, etc as high.
Parking area inside for attachments. Do you have storage space for a pallet jack, box flipper, other forklift attachments.
Are you going to supply seed tenders to customers? If so, do you have ample park space for off season storage?
Plenty of indoor and outdoor lights? A lot of seed is load and/or sorted at night or early mornings.
Outdoor water supply? Indoor water supply and hand wash sink. Customer fridge to keep cold water, soda, beer for customers when picking up seed. Restroom on site.
Security camera's. Would be nice to know or keep log of who goes in and out and when.
Small meeting space. Area where 3-5 people could meet and discuss seed, etc.
Platform scale to weigh partial seed boxes or chem shuttle.
Wall space for dry erase boards. One in customer viewable area to provide notices or info to customers. One in your area to make notes on deliveries, pick ups, etc. Magnetic dry erase work great to hold paper up by magnets for customers.
Shrink wrap to wrap up sorted pallets of bags, etc. | |
