Would you not consider an economy with a GDP loss of 31% in one quarter different than an economy that has strong growth. One with no jobs and one with worker shortages. And would not these difference require different fiscal policies. There is a context to this you seem to be forgetting.
On the eviction thing one was before the supreme court ruled one after it was ruled unconstitutional. Again very different context.
We are not in a great depression now so FDR style new deal policies are not called for but are always popular is certain socialists circles.
