Nw Iowa | The reality is COVID started it or at least put more the ice on the slippery slope. Remember when Trump wanted to open things up and he was bombed by the press? We were in unknown territory and while I never agreed about shutting country down completely that was the worldwide common wisdom. The COVID relief bill that passed soon after Biden became president was absolutely the wrong thing to do at the wrong time. Things were starting to move and than that bill effectively kept people home some more when we should have been ramping things up. Even more unreal was continuing the rent moratorium when handed out more federal money to live. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand people that don’t have to pay rent will not pay rent. Talk about kick the can down the road that didn’t need kicking. I realize there are people that can’t pay their rent but only makes problem bigger. Trump or Biden did not create COVID but the Dems spending on their agenda is sparking more inflation, not helping the problem. These new infrastructure bills will only make it worse. We need people back to work doing essential jobs, not 200 million parks in Pelosi’s district. The issue right now is not unemployment, but unemployment by choice. The green deal pushes mfg out of country so the pollution and control goes somewhere else. We now have gas over 3$ and what has it accomplished? Enriching our enemies. Same thing with mandatory vacs for hospital workers, it seems insane that you would want to thin our healthcare staff any time or especially in these times. These dem policy’s are a dream that don’t work in reality, just as it hasn’t in other countries that have slid towards socialism. There whole bunch of people that their job is living off of government and to make that pool bigger will not end well. | |
