     Pittsburg, Kansas | If a person gets good sun exposure in summer I see no need for supplementation. Vitamin D is stored in fat cells and that storage is what is supposed to take us through the winter. The winter and early spring is the problematic time period. When D stores run low. One doctor claimed there is not a flu season,  just a low vitamin D season.   
  
Obese people people need a lot more D and are, oddly enough,  more likely to be D deficient. Another strike against obesity when it comes to covid.  
  
We have tried numerous supplements as experiments but found most we could not see a direct benefit.
