It's going to be financed by the new federal asset tax. 1% accessed value of all land. Will be added onto the current land tax bill and due same time.

Liberals are expected to call a spring election and hoping to get a Majority govt. If they do, we're all screwed!!!


I hadn’t heard how they were going to finance it but I expected it would require some form of additional taxes.

I also hadn’t heard about a plan to call a spring election but that would make it an attractive platform to run on. The person who promises to give the most money to the most voters seems to get or stay in office and I guess you can’t get any more inclusive than everyone.

There’s a lot of good input above. I had hoped some would post some positive reasons but it seems that most just see issues similar to what I see.
