Kettle Moraine, WI
The counterpoint to some of the UBI successes is the small populations it affected. What we haven't yet seen is millions of an entire population getting an automatic living income. It just raises zero income to 20k annually or whatever number it becomes. At full saturation consumer business knows it can charge X for rent, Y for food, and Z for other living expenses. The person who doesn't have a job due to life circumstances can now pay for XYZ. However, the job holder has work income plus XYZ so they can outbid the non worker for resources and little has changed positively for the lower earner.

Consumer price index should inflate with the cash injections into the consumer economy. Lenders can tap the UBI income to secure loan notes as UBI is secured by the government. People from Sask will compete with people from Alberta and Nova Scotia with new found wealth. The rich consumer business owners will get richer, the middle class have the UBI taxed away, and the poor get a check in place of benefits. It is readjustment of society for the privileged to be more privileged.

UBI can be positive in my mind. The individual can be empowered to spend or save the cash disbursement as they see fit. We can eliminate vast swathes of government programs and employment. As a society we can say everyone is cared for equitably or equally. Personal responsibility will rein supreme or falter under the trained populous to expect more. Assets will inflate where people choose to spend money. Elections will be simple - he who promises more wins. It is a changed society.
