SCIA | From my experience, your concern about 3" and .3% is unfounded. We installed our first 3" 24 years ago, on 40' spacings, at.02%. About 3 years ago we split it down to 20' and there was no siltation. The biggest issue with 3" at grades that flat is: Most contractors do not want to run at speeds that all the kind of accuracy necessary to do 3" flat. And some of the systems do not have small enough dead bands to accommodate the use of 3" that flat. | |
