southern MN		Tile drain excess water puddled in the soil, they don’t over dry wet ground. You are wasting resources is all if you tile too close.

Here 3 and 4 inch tile is priced about the same, I’ve never actually heard of 3 inch used here. 4 inch is a bit more forgiving.
