The people of which I speak think they are getting away with something by staying under the yearly exclusion and therefor not reporting it and "getting one over" on the gvt. As I said unless they live forever (well into 100's), have a ton of cash (tens of millions) and dozens of heirs, (it must be all 3) they will never be able to do such a thing to any significance $15K at a time, nor would they bother. The truly generationally wealthy all have Funds, Foundations and Trusts to avoid most all inheritance taxes anyway. |
