It’s what folks that do not save enough for retirement have to resort too...
So if my house is a complete POS, but marketable, and paid off completely. Nobody really vying for it when I die or leave. And Ive got a million for retirement and farm ground paid for. Why not? Might pay for something fun.
Hypothetically speaking, and not even asking for a friend.
Hows the company gaining anything other than first chance at the property?
Because it’s your money, and you want it now!
Oh, wait, that is a different scheme...... Tho probably the same basic predatory lender practice.
In your scenario, you appear to be well off enough to already pay for something fun, why would you need to cash in house equity?
Not my personal scenario, just trying to figure out how I leave this world net zero, and spend everything Ive made. Well me, or anyone for that matter.
