 | Mobile slaughter doesn’t really gain anything over a fixed packing house with a kill floor. The carcass still needs to hang in a cooler, you still need the cutting/packing crew and all the machinery, freezer space, etc. All of that gets scheduled per customer just like a normal plant too.
 
 In all honesty, the only thing mobile slaughter saves is the cost of hauling the live animal to the plant.
 
 The ONLY time I would consider this system practical is if you have a list of customers who do their own cutting, but usually those folks are capable and have a spot to do their own slaughter too.
