| Fair enough on your reply -- on the fiscal side of government you and I would agree far more than disagree, on the social side, I'm more a moderate than you I suspect. but its fine.
As for input prices I totally agree , land and equipment cost rose far more than anything. last year I rented 1400 acres of ground that had some issues on it from a government agency, this year it was rented by somebody else for almost $150 per acre more than I rented it for. when I rented the land needed some extra Planting equipment added a 16/33 row used planter and 8210T once I did not get the landback, advertised the planter and tractor for sale and sold in a couple of days for 25% more than I Paid for it.
YES every dollar given to farmers just increases their COP
