Missouri | I knew as soon as I posted that I’d have all kinds of people with red cattle post and tell me how their red cattle top the sale every year. Good for you. Yes there are crappy black cattle. And yes, there are superb red and char cattle. But as a rule of thumb, from coast to coast, black hided cattle typically always top the sales. Sorry, right or wrong, these are just facts. Looks like you have a lot of red cattle you obviously do well with them. That is great. But if you are just a guy, raising commercial cattle, Black is probably the best option financially. This is just an non biased opinion from someone who buys cattle every week, and likes to make money off of them. | |
