WY, OK | Think of China as the US maybe 70ish years ago. In 50 years they should evolve to where we are now and the "cheap" labor will be in Africa or South East Asia or who knows where. It is not a Static thing, everyone moves up in the economy over time, it just shifts who the laborers are and who the consumers are. Right now in China you can die in a rice paddy or you can go build a cell phone or sew a shirt or whatever else and have a much better life. The amount of people that think those low skilled, low paying jobs need to return to this country is mind-boggling. | |
