North Central Kansas
x2.
years ago converted old garage into sewing room for wife. We put in a window AC, and a pellet stove. After about 8 years of that she got tired of the white noise of the units. And I got tired of being the one to clean the stove, refill the stove, prep for summer etc. So I broke down and bought her a mini split. Not cheap, but makes her happy. A happy wife, happy life they say.

An old school radiant heater from Menards along the baseboard would be the next option as others have said. Hard wire own breaker, put on one temp and leave it alone. I don't recall if you said if you insulated the office space or not, that will make a difference as well in how well it stays cool or warm.
