Lancaster, OH | On the south side of Columbus is is a natural area with peat and animals. A lady tried to tell me that it was an ancient fly-way that had been that way for an eternity.
She didn't know and wouldn't accept that it was farmed into the 60's but a spark from a tractor had set fire to the peat and it burned for a long time creating deep ash holes that filled with water and couldn't be economically drained. At that point it was left idle.
She looked at me like I had 2 heads and I knew the man that farmed it!!
