Thanks Ted. Do you think it's possible to come off the deutsch plug on the end of the harness? I have some misc plugs to fab a harness from.
If pin #2 is present at the end of the harness that should be fine. I would doubt that it is. If pin #2 has a dust pin in it at the connection to Port A, you could remove the dust pin and add pin #2 to the harness you already have. Trimble uses several harnesses for various purposes. Some have a branch called a port replicator. These branch all the pins off so that yet another harness can be plugged in.
In my case, I was using auto pilot with a Nav II which connected to Port B and there was no plug in Port A. I made a harness for Port A from scratch. It used Pins 2 & 10 for radar out. It used Pins 11 & 10 for a coverage map relay. It also used 3 pins for a video camera.
