Aberdeen MS | Once we started running all 3 brands.... no one changed anything.
My first round in heavy dew (before anyone was there..... first time the full setup saw dirt) I ran with 0 springs. With 4 I still wasn't able to get the gauge wheels touching, lead coulter was holding the unit up.
Time was running out so instead of going to full down, I raised the lead to the top hole (evident in the one side shot).
For "my" conditions fall and spring, I'm of the conviction that an air bag/hydraulic DP will be a detriment to me. Next spring the units WILL have the springs reversed so I can pull DP OFF the units. In many of my spring trips....running 0 springs I'm still at too much DP.
P/S, I need to chat with you about the bushings for the floating arms, as it is, the sacrificial item on that set up is the arm for the lead coulter mount, a non replaceable item. | |
