Dee is right. We are usually on the dry side of things in August and September. We live right in the very middle of Sask east to west.

Some neighbours have tried seeding silage barley in the end of April and chopping it the first couple weeks of July. Then come back with millet but it didn't grow very well. Was just too dry.

Well if you were up close to Meadow Lake (that's quite close to the SK mid line east to west) you would be getting more moisture - - - - maybe not quite as much as over Melfort way but you would likely be moister than say the Davidson area (for sure).

Even the Dundurn area is on the drier side - - - - not like Swift Current (that's real dry country). Should have bought in the Tisdale Melfort area some 40 odd years ago - - - - would have been a good idea - - - grin!
