I think you misunderstand what i'm saying. I'm saying with the good dirt, if i do my part in taking care of the crop, under 200 bu is a crop failure. With black dirt with high organic matter growing above 200 bu corn isn't hard.
200bu x $3.5= 700 , that's about break even on COC with the rent in my area.
To me crop failure is tied into price. If you don't market well, you can't bu your way out of it.
