Vermont | OpenOffice is abandonware at this point, but LibreOffice forked off of it a few years back and is actively supported. I use and am happy with it.
As for OP's question, I bought an HP EliteDesk earlier this year for about $900. It's their business line, so it has a much better warranty, a cleaner install of Windows (few HP proprietary programs, but no third party software and no advertising or auto-downloaded apps in the start menu), and claims to have some more reliable components than you would get in consumer-grade models from Best Buy or similar. | |
