 Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan | If you had NOT ended up buying the property, would you have still been the renter of the property for this year?
My initial thinking is... if you still would have been renting the property for this year, you probably owe the rent on the property. Likewise, if the sale of the property would have negated your rental arrangement... then I don't think you should be obligated to pay any rent.
Maybe someone else will chime in with a different opinion and perspective that will convince me of otherwise, but for now that's my thoughts on the subject.
