My wife and I lived 800 miles apart for the first 6 month we were dating. We saw each other 4x she flew here 2 and me there 2 the last time was to move her to Iowa. I think it will work fine short term less than a year maybe longer if you really work at it but eventually someone will have to move and my farm was not in Colorado.
