Apparently you were never close to a huge hurricane. You just can't drive up to the damaged area like you can a tornado. Things are desrtoyed and streets blocked and flooded for hundreds of miles making it difficult to get into an area. Why more people didn't evacuate when they were warned is beyond me. More uneducated rantings of a crazed liberal.
