WCIL
We've got a 16" vertical that just hangs on the frame much like yours. There is nothing under it and it works fine. Keeps a little depression open a few feet around but doesn't eat or silt in for that matter. Our electric Crisafulli sits at about a 30 degree angle on some box tubing and it is no problem either. Both of ours are in drainage ditches (like a holding tank) so may be different situation than you. I think a slab of concrete wouldn't hurt though while you are doing it. The discharge end on the other hand......a track hoe couldn't move as much dirt. lol.

I'm excited for you. After years of fighting tractor powered Crisafulli's and flopping hoses, to have a solid, permanent electric pump and steel discharge makes the big rains more of a nuisance than a huge muddy chore. Looking good!
