Decatur, Illinois | Never ceases to amaze me the people that will never post their actual name or location. Our prospects look good in my small part of the worls, but planting date tells me we'll be 10 to 20 percent short of "normal" if there is such a thing. I just cultivated 60 acres of non gmo beans yesterday that were planted on june the first. Dad made the comment "never imagined you'd be cultivating beans in august". Well neither did i but the morning glories dictated that decision. BTW Caseihfarmer, our yeild checks in the past have shown you will over shoot the 18 to 20 arounds and under shoot the 14 to 16's. Last year our corn yeild checked off the charts, but the inch and a half tipback knocked 20bpa off the top. No doubt, we will all have some great corn, but the sore spots will none the less pull the average down. | |
