Subject: RE: Real World cover crop

Wheelersburg and Lancaster, Ohio
Mostly just whatever I can afford and have time to get planted. Sometimes broadcast wheat (low success rate). Sometimes mixes of grasses legumes and radishes or turnips planted with the drill (high success rate). Last year we had a terrible slug problem so kind of rethinking the whole practice. This past fall it was to wet to get much of anything done. I still do some tillage, not sure why everyone seems to think cover crops and notill have to go together.
