My experience in using wheat or rye for cover crop is that I prefer rye much more because when I get ready to terminate, it dies much faster. The wheat just seems to hold on forever. I sprayed two different fields ten days ago, one rye one wheat. The ryes is brown and the wheat is still pale green.
