south west mn | I use to sell hay at times it can be very profitable. I quit when I could not get $130 a ton for dairy quality hay. Tore up the hayfield and went fishing. Now I just have my personal use hay.
This year it would have made good money if you could put it up right. You will need to own your own baler. When the rain is coming you don’t want to be waiting on the custom guy. Can buy a used 568 for $18,000 at the auctions. Maybe do some custom work to help pay for it. | |
