He lives in a complex that has 6 big buildings. I think there are 6 individual homes inside each building. So there are technically 36 houses in those 6 buildings. My friend actually owns the inside of his house. Every month he pays a "fee" to the association. The association maintains EVERYTHING on the exterior of the building. They cut the grass, remove the snow, clean up the leaves, roofing, siding, windows, and gutters. Its especially popular for young people in starter homes and for older people that dont want to worry about grass and snow anymore.
His buildings are not in a gated community, just a private culd a sec. Some places are gated though, especially down towards Arizona where all the oldsters are retiring. All the window, roof, and siding are the exact same. No decorating the outside of the buildings allowed. | |
