The btus in ethanol are the same as they always have been. What pecan man is ignorant of is the fact that, without knowing the conversion rate of the stored btus to usable energy of the two products, comparing btus is moot. Octane, while not perfect, is a lot better comparison and ethanol wins that hands down.
