Any chance you could do it like this diagram? Laminate a pole extension on each existing pole, and build a new support beam 3 or 4 feet above the original roof. Would need to seal well around each pole where it goes through the roof.
Edit to add: Did you repaint that skid-loader? I've never seen one that clean or straight.
