Madison Co. Virginia | There shouldn't be a valley. That upper section is not a wall, but a row of posts. The posts go through the roofing tin, and support an overhead beam. There's several clear feet of opening between the support beam overhead and the roof below. The goal is to always promote upward air flow. This way, the gases from the lagoon can escape almost directly overhead instead of traveling through the barn to the ridge vent. It also preserves sidewall height, which is critical for catching breezes in the summer. | |
